↠ Appearance: Alex is about 6' tall, and weighs proportionally for a man who engages in daily exercise including running, working out, and parkour. He had golden blonde hair, and blue-grey-green eyes, that shift with mood and lightning. He generally wears civilian clothing, but also a bulky belt that looks something like a tool belt around his waist. He is slim in arms and legs, but muscled in a slim fashion, almost making lean and like a tiger rather than a bull. Alex has a face that shows his lines, but also, with a twitch of an eyebrow and a smile, can make him look years younger. Al of the hair on his body, from head to arms, is fine and pale in color.
↠ Reference/History:
Previous Game History 1:
Alex Summers was born 20-some odd years ago, and spent much of his childhood raised by his older brother and mother, after his father died. It was an odd experience, and he always believed that someone needed to just be a level headed person, just not crazy. that wasn't really how things turned out.
Shortly after his brother went to West Point, Alex was involved in a small situation, where a policeman was gunned down before his eyes. Raised by the king of responsibility, Alex didn't run despite his age. instead, he picked up the cop's gun and killed the man who had shot him. The kill was by luck more than anything, and the cop's testimony, delivered while still in bandages, assured that Alex was ruled to have committed self-defense. Alex begged his mother not to tell Scott, and with misgivings, she agreed. Alex, having seen how the world was, decided that sometimes you have to make some noise.
He considered entering the police academy out of high school, but a marine special forces recruiter called on him on graduation day, and left with his signature. Alex boarded the plane to camp and never came home.
He wrote his mother, and even, occasionally, his brother, but mostly he pushed himself to excel in his studies. And he did. Never quite enough for 'special' training, but enough to remain in the special forces. Alex was considered someone who would never amount to much. But when he was called to active duty in the Middle East, that all changed. Alex proved to have a gift at making the right move at the right time. Not because of smarts or wisdom, but pure instinct, and one that sent him running into a fire fight instead of out of one. Inside of two years, he was a captain, and leading a small unit of 'flying' or unattached soldiers. The only reason he wasn't higher was because he had what superior officers called an attitude problem, and tended to be a candid asshole when he talked to people, some of the time.
He was wounded twice, and both times, the doctors signed him off to go home, and both times, Alex proved them wrong, and kept going. He had found his home, and he wanted to stay in it. Not war, but being a soldier. he was good at it, and when someone nicknamed him 'Captain Havok', it stuck. he seemed to lead a crew that could do anything, right up until they walked into an ambush.
Despite the bad intel, bad time, and bad place, Alex somehow led his men, and a bunch more out of that hellhole of a fire zone, but it cost him. He took three wounds, each of which should have killed him. And when he reported his unit to the next available commanding officer, he collapsed. Surgery lasted four days, but he lived.
This time, when they signed him off, he couldn't refuse. Irreparable permanent nerve damage, the reports said, that would make it impossible for him to lead. He was honorably discharged with another medal, and he was sent home. On the way, he ended up being recalled for a desk job, serving as a liaison in Tokyo, Japan for six months before finally heading home. Landing in Los Angeles, he decided to take the long way home, and went to San Diego to see the zoo there, not quite ready to head for Orange County, and his brother.
When he did arrive there, before he could go anywhere, he found himself in the midst of a forest fire threatening homes on the outskirts of Orange County. He pitched in, his experience and military ID quickly getting him promoted to a deputized fireman. Something about it made him smile, and when the fire was over, he headed to a local fire-station and signed up, entering training to become a full-time fireman. He settled in and somehow, with one thing and another, he never quite contacted his brother, even being fairly close by. He worked hard, and did what he could, even though his disability meant sitting out fires sometimes, to his anger.
A year came and went, and he went back to San Diego to pack up his things, feeling fully settled in orange county. There, he attended some therapy sessions with a military doctor, and met a young woman who convinced him to finally seek out his brother.
Over the course of the next year, he met and fell in love with Lorna Dane, and started dreaming of another life( His Canon history: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Havok_%28comics%29#Fictional_character_biography), and through those dreams, gained the memories and skills of his dream self.
He also took part in several battles for the existence of humanity. He gained his Dream Counterpart's powers, and over time, with the aid of a man named Aang, not only gained control of them, but expanded them as well. He went from being a Firefighter to a teacher, and then to a trouble shooter for Frost Enterprises, working for his brother's father in law, Winston Frost. After Marrying Lorna, they began to talk about having a baby. During one mission, he and Lorna vanished from that world.
He appeared, without her, on the USS Enterprise, confused, and somehow brought there by the cosmic being named Q. He also ran into the Emma Frost from his world. With her help, and the help of a Lorna Dane from the universe he had dreamed of, he began to come to grips with losing his wife, and with being stuck on the ship. During his time there, he led a brief and failed insurrection against Q, fought Klingons, and recited Vogon love poetry. While there, he prepared a multiverse pack, and started keeping a journal, feeling this was important.
A little over a year later, he vanished from the ship, and woke elsewhere...
↠ Personality:
Alex Summers was an outgoing and friendly individual, laid-back and quick to action, but not to judgment. Born to a small suburban household, he saw his father vanish, presumably to death in the military, then his older brother go off to a different branch. He found himself also quick to go off to the military, and this led to him living by a code of dedication and service for most of his life. He was quick to lead, not out of desire to do so, but out of ability. Alex enjoyed taking his time to think on things, but in moments of action tended to act quickly.
When he was wounded in battle, he learned new skills of diplomacy and conversation, and he found that he had a deep-seated desire for things to work out. Being away so long, seeing the people there find families, he rediscovered a love of his family, and one of his all-time favorite(not!) pains was the fact that he and his brother had spent most of their lives at odds.
When he asked Lorna to marry him, he did so because of a heart that had grown full of love and respect, over a year of knowing her and tragedies, of learning of his dream self and that Alex's terrible life, and realizing that love and family were more important than taking one's time to be sure. Alex wanted to serve, protect, and help those around him, starting with his family.
After Aang assisted him in curing his lack of control, then in learning even more control and confidence in his abilities, Alex found himself ready for new challenges, and eagerly looked forward to a future that seemed bright.
After being dropped on the Enterprise, he felt his heart shatter and much of his confidence break. With his wife not on Enterprise, and worse, with a doppelganger there, instead, he felt a great sense of betrayal, sorrow, and pain. There was be a need to find a way to serve swiftly, and a need to both know the new Lorna, and not somehow conflate her and his wife. Having his sister in law, Emma Frost, as well as her daughter Faith, on the ship helped center him, and they, and Emma especially, helped him move forward over a year's time.
Once more confident, in control, and willing to face the future, he began a tentative friendship with the Lorna there, and found himself seeing the similarities with the one he had loved.
↠ Powers / Abilities: Alex is a human mutant, born with an x-gene that gives him superhuman powers. He constantly absorbs and metabolizes any kind of energy, though his body most easily metabolizes cosmic energy, like that of the sun. Anytime he is exposed to sunlight, and the solar radiation that comes with it, he is absorbing it.
His body can only absorb so much, however, and once his limit is reached, he has to release some. If he waits too long, it starts to leak out of him, making him dangerous to those around him.
If he just lets go, it radiates out in all directions as a wave of plasma, which can make things explode, burn, melt, and shatter. If he concentrates, he can channel it all in one direction, and send it out of his hands as a blast of concentrated plasma energy, heat, or even light. His power, when focused and emitted strongly, can blow holes in solid steel or vaporize humans.
Alex can also use his power to fly, as well as to ionize the atmosphere around him, or to deflect and absorb other energies, such as electromagnetic power. His body is generally warmer than most people's bodies.
Alex is a skilled pilot, and good at self defense, against both normal and powered opponents. He is also a skilled firefighter, a trained soldier and skilled special forces operative, skilled in paramedic duties, has some skill in diplomatic and political areas, and has even some experience as a teacher and a trouble shooter.
He is also knowledgeable about Seismology, Geology, and Spelunking.

↠ Inventory: a utility belt containing a(ST:TNG class) mark 2 phaser; playing cards; keys to his car and the Starjammer 2.0; a picture of him and Lorna together; a picture of him, Lorna, and Mavis all hugging; a water bottle, several days worth of military rations(ST:TNG class) for one person; a compass; his journal and pens; one small throwing knife; an edged lode stone; and the technical manual of the AOS Enterprise won in a poker game from Montgomery Scott.
↠ Reason for Playing This Character: Alex is a complex character, made even more so by the events of his alternate universe, and by hopping universes. I enjoy playing him, as I do his canon counterpart, and exploring the differences between them, and how he will adapt to this new environment. With his skills, military outlooks, and new hold on life, I plan on throwing him into the thick of things, and charging full steam ahead. I want to explore the CoS, and see what I can in the game.
↠ What is Your Character's Sin?: Wrath and why? Alex is a lover, and a believer in family, in people, and in effort made toward discipline and organization. He cannot stand people who just hurt and cause chaos without reason., And he has seen so much of it in his life, felt so many of he effects, including the wounds that still cause him pain. that he has an instinctive anger, prowling just beneath the surface. It does not control him, but it is there, and when he sees injustice, when he sees wrong being done, he cannot stop himself from taking that on. The anger is there, driving him. It also drives him to take care of family, to protect those who need protecting, and to go beyond the bar in all he does, because he is angry at those who do not, angry at a world where so many strong take on the weak, and use them. He is angry, and he is no hero, but he will stand. And he will use Wrath as his weapon.

Helllo, everybody! My name's Alex Summers, and I'm coming to you live, courtesy of our lovely powers that be who decided to conspire with the powers that be of my last multiversal stay to send me to this beautiful city resort. So far, I've been greeted by new people, strangers, old friends who were strangers anyway, and lots of mostly friendly people.
[His voice is warm, friendly, and strong, and he winks at the screen.] Now can anyone tell me if there is more information to be had, more deal to the deal, and more things to do here than what whoever decided this was good idea has laid down?
Hopefully, you're all having a good day. And don't forget the sunscreen!
